SMOLDERING SMOKY EYES FOR FALL

SPARKLING SMOKY EYES

GET THE LOOK: These gorgeous eyes were created for the Halston show by make up artist extraordinaire Tom Pecheux. “The idea behind these eyes was to re-create pictures from Studio 54 as the women were leaving” says Pecheux. Saying that their eyes were even more smoldering and sexy as they were exiting the famous night club. The result was a smudgy more sultry smoky eye that any diva from Studio 54 would be proud to sport.

INSIDER TRICK: To get a smoky eye with a hint of shimmery intrigue, Beth Bender of beth bender beauty suggests mixing the black and brown shadows from her Get in Line Eyeliner Stencil Kit and finishing with a touch of Abyssinia from NARS (a delicate pearl sheen) and applying to the brow bone to highlight the eye. Use the smoky eye stencil included in each kit to create the perfect smoky eyes as seen here.

BUY ONLINE NOW: The Get in Line Eyeliner & Stencil Kit, $36, Abyssinia Eye shadow from NARS, $22

Get A Healthy Glow Instantly

Everyone knows the sun can be harmful to your skin but who can resist having that sun kissed look even in the middle of winter. To get this kind of glow without causing permanent damage to your complexion is to use a bronzer. At Fashion week in New York, Hollywood celebrities were aglow with healthy bronze cheeks.

Sheryl Crow Loves Soak Up the Sun Bronzing Powder from beth bender beauty

For a natural glow, apply bronzer to the areas of the face where the sun would naturally kiss, like the forehead, bridge of nose, cheekbones and chin. Start with a little color and add more slowly to get the desired shade and radiant look like Sheryl Crow.

If you prefer a cream try Nars Multiple in Palm Beach, $37 at Sephora.

Beth Bender's Fashion Week Report

FASHION WEEK IN NEW YORK

Doo Ri Fall 2008

GET THE LOOK: I love this look so much! Makeup Artist Jeff Roose from Nars used a sheer blue shadow on the eyes. Roose wanted the eyes to pop and pop they did. They looked colorful and fresh, without looking overdone. A great color that flatters any skin tone.

INSIDER TIP: To create the eyes yourself make sure to only apply color from the inner corner of eye to the center of the eyelid. Then finish by sweeping a soft gray shade to the outer edge of the eye as seen here on the model. Try Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Island Fever, $32 at Narscosmetics.com.

Need help with your smoky eyes? Beth suggests using the Get in Line Eyeliner Kit, or the Get in Line Travel Stencil Set . Each come with a set of stencils and step by step instructions that show you how to get a smoky eye as seen here.

xoxo,
