Beth Bender Beauty Celeb Look

Get the look

Halle Berry is stunning and pregnancy is definitely agreeing with her. Every photo of her shows a woman glowing and looking more beautiful than ever! Her look here is soft and sultry for a perfect "out on the town" evening look .

To create start by sweeping a shimmery peach shadow over lids. Try Zsa Zsa eye dust from Bettes Boutique. Line eyes using the Get in Line stencil kit with Kohl eyeshadow and smudge for a softer line. For lush lashes like Halle’s, apply two coats of mascara. Try Here to Stay from Prescriptive's. It thickens and lengthens your lashes without looking clumply.

On the face apply a tinted moisturizer in place of foundation. Mix with a skin brightening cream for a luminous glow. Try Vibrant from prescriptive's. Choose a dark berry blush and apply to apples of cheeks. We like Butterflies Blush from Beth Bender Beauty,.$30.00 at bettesboutique.com.

For the perfect pout, slick on a sheer nude gloss with a slight shimmer. Try Chasing the cash Liquid lip color from Beth Bender Beauty, $16.00 at bettesboutique.com.

This month we will be featuring Paris is Burning one of our most popular lip color's from the Hollywood Nude Collection.

It's a pink beige shimmer that looks beautiful on any skin tone. Infused with jojoba gel for outstanding shine and extra, extra pout appeal. Scarlett Johansson is a big fan, as well as Nicole Ritchie and Paris herself.

Get in Line Stencil Kit & Honeyshed Update

The date for Honeyshed to feature the Get in Line Stencil kit from Bettes Boutique and Beth Bender Beauty has been changed to December due to a few kinks they are working on. They will be doing a huge consumer launch sometime before that and decided it would be a better time to showcase the Stencil kit.

We think so too and plus it will make a great holiday gift for someone who doesn't have one. We will continue to keep you posted when we get closer to the date. In February right around Valentine's Day they will be showcasing some of the other Beauty products from the line. We've put together a great mix of product and will be adding a few more surprises too.

Have you checked out honeyshed yet? If you haven't why not? It is fabulous and is a new interactive shopping website that just launched on October 24th. Think MTV meets QVC only much much better. There are some very big hitters behind Honeyshed and together they have conceived this amazing and unique way to shop.

In November they will be featuring The Get in Line Stencil System on one of their beauty segments. They have selected some of the best beauty products and we are flattered to be one of them.

Beth Bender Beauty On The Set Of Chuck

My friend Nani has been a busy girl. Just recently she was on the set of Chuck. A new show Monday night on NBC. Once again she arrived with goodies from Beth Bender Beauty and Get in Line Eyeshadow Stencil kits for all the girls.

Yvonne Strahovski who plays Sarah Walker loved the Get in Line Kit and her Paris is burning Liquid Lip which we just began infusing with Jojoba Gel for even more shine and perfect pout appeal. Julia Ling who plays Anna Wu went absolutely crazy over the Stencil kit and apparently will be sporting a purrfect cat eye on tonights episode.

Sarah Lancaster who you might remember from "What About Brian" plays Ellie Bartowski. She loved the Cream Blush in Kitty and opted for a Travel Set and Gel Liner in Cocoa.

The Beth Bender Beauty basket of goodies continues to make its way around town thanks to my beautiful and sweet friend Nani.

Beth Bender Beauty Still Buzzing In Hawaii

It seems that we've created quite a stir in Hawaii ever since we mentioned Evangeline stopping by the Betsey Johnson Boutique. When the show Lost first started shooting on location there I sent off a bunch of Get in Line stencil kits , bronzer's and glosses to some of my friends who were working on the show.

Evangeline Lilly being one of the lucky recipients and just recently Elizabeth Mitchell. My friend E-Jay who I have mentioned before is a big fan of Beth Bender Beauty products and made sure that everyone had a Get in Line Stencil kit for starter's. Then it was on to glosses, eye dust's and bronzers next.

Anyway my girlfriend who runs the Betsey Johnson Boutique has been fielding calls ever since I left and women coming in wanting to know what Evangeline uses from Beth Bender Beauty. Honestly she doesn't need much for that face, but what she does use on set is "Soak up the sun" bronzer, "Kookla" glam gloss and the Get in Line eyeliner kit.

The last few products she has since added are the gel eyeliner in Cocoa and Paris is burning liquid lip gloss.
Mahalo to my very good friend E-Jay who spends as much time promoting Beth Bender Beauty as he does his own line.

Beauty On The Go With Beth Bender

Want to be glam without spending too much face time in front of the mirror? Here’s a few tips that you might try.

Accent your eyes with a brown shadow by smudging a bit along your upper lash line. If you’re a gal who likes to line the bottom then try a taupe shadow and brush along the lower lashes. This will give you a more natural look than using a pencil and stay put much longer.

Try a bright pink blush like “A little Crush” mineral blush from beth bender beauty. It is actually very pretty on and gives the cheeks the right amount of color for that “just flushed look”.

To give your cheekbones a bit of Hollywood dazzle take a shimmer cream or powder and apply as a highlighter. Try Benefit’s High Beam in Light Pink or All Over Face Shimmer in “Pretty”.

Finish the look with a shimmery nude lip gloss. My fav of course Chasing the Cash from beth bender beauty.

You can substitute a coral or peach tone mineral blush if your skin tone is darker.

Cheers!

Beth

Easy Smoky Eyes In Two Steps

I have been working all week but during my down time I sneak in a blog or two. I have only been blogging for about four months but I am hooked. I blog about our products, my favorite beauty and skin care products, beauty tips, celebrities wearing beth bender beauty and make-up artists who use the products and share sweet stories when they are on set. I just got an email from my friend Nani. I call her “Nani Hawaii” because Hawaii is where we met. We were doing make-up for a fashion show together and from that moment I knew we would be friends for life.

She has been sending all of her clients and friends to my beauty blog page and to check out the “Get in Line” Eye Stencil System which she uses and loves. She even has little gift bags that she brings with her to give to the celebrities filled with Beth Bender Beauty products. Anyway she writes “Bettie, I still can’t believe how quick these eyeliner stencils work. I did four sets of Smoky Eyes in under 25 minutes. When I took them out and started using them the girls all wanted to try, of course. You did something great girly. Love u, Nani”.

So sweet..I had to share. Two simple steps will give you smokin’ smoky eyes and sexy cat eyes. Easier than any tool on the beauty market. Women use Eyebrow stencils, my favorite Anastasia’s to shape their brows, why not an Eye liner stencil for lining your eyes?

Sexy Smoky Eyes Hawaiian Style

I know that I have been doing a lot of stories about smoky eyes, but lately that is what I have been doing a lot of when I am working. A lot of my clients and certain photographers I work with know that this is my specialty, along with lash enhancement, so that is what I usually get asked to do. And lately it seems like all the time.

Recently I was going through some of my old tear sheets from a few years ago and found a few pictures from a shoot that I had done in Hawaii. How nice it would be to be back there right about now. Anyway my very good friend E-Jay, The Creative Director of Body & Soul Cosmetics and an amazing artist and I worked together on the shoot. He insisted that I bring lots of my Get In Line Beauty Eyeliner Stencil System to use. He of course does a gorgeous smoky eye without needing the stencils, but loves to use them just the same. He has been a huge fan of the line and is responsible for getting it in the hands of so many celebrities everywhere. Needless to say I absolutely adore and love him!!

We decided to do something a little different and gave the models an Island feeling using tropical colors instead of the traditional dark shades that are usually used for a smoky eye. We mixed and layered colors and tinted the lashes to look as if the color was a flower on the eye. It looked beautiful and we were both so happy with the end result.

One of the things I always tell my clients is not be afraid to have fun and never be intimidated by make-up. Try something different and if you don’t like it, try something else. Even the best make-up artists can get frustrated and have days where nothing seems to work. We tried something we weren’t sure we would even like, or the client most importantly but we succeeded and had fun doing it.

xoxo,

Beth
