The Get in Line Kit Makes a splash

Whose wearing beth bender beauty

The Get in Line Eyeliner Kit in SGB. As seen in the new LG Dare commercial

Check out the new Verizon spot with the hot chick on the ledge. Notice anything about her eyes?..
We thought you might. Yes she’s wearing the SGB Kit with some help from the original Get in Line palette. Don’t they look ultra, ultra, sexy and sooo easy to do.

We started by adding a layer of Indian Brown from the original palette as a base and finishing with a bit of Golden tan & Deep Bronze from the SGB palette for a perfect summer look. The skin was left slightly on the dewy side with a touch of MAC bronzer and her lips were kept neutral with some Chasing the Cash Liquid Lip Glaze.

We’re wearing ours today. Are you wearing yours?

Sexy, Sultry Eyes For Spring

GIVE ME SEXY SMOKY EYES LIKE CARRIE UNDERWOOD. Check out these gorgeous peepers on country music’s singing sensation. I think her break up may have been a good thing. She is looking better than ever and this picture is proof of it! Want these show-stopping smoky eyes? Get them using the SEXY EYES Kit and in minutes you can have sultry smoky eyes just like Carries.

The Sexy Eyes Kit comes with three shimmers that when blended together gives you just the right amount of color as seen here on Carrie. Also included is an eyeshadow brush and our patent-pending smoky eye stencil. For an extra bit of dazzle try adding a strip of false eyelashes in black, or just a few individuals on the ends of each eye. Make sure when applying the shimmers on eyes to blend well. If you prefer a stronger look add some more until you get the right intensity of color.

Carrie added even more drama by lining her eyes with a gel liner in rich black and extending the color beyond her lashes for extra eye popping intensity. A gorgeous look for walking the red carpet or just because you feel like it! We suggest Onyx Stay Put gel liner for color that doesn’t budge.

More Sexy Smoky Cat Eyes

Rachel McAdams Red Carpet Smoky Eyes

Rachel McAdams blazed the red carpet this week with shimmer-rimmed eyes topped by loads of matte charcoal smoky shadow. Her eyes purred with perfection and she got a big thumbs up from us for a super gorgeous smoky-cat eye.

Beth says it’s all about where you place the color that will give you the look you desire. She suggests mixing a dark chocolate and charcoal eyeshadow together and applying from the outer corner of eye using a soft eye shadow brush. Bring it back toward the iris and blend into the crease to create the smoky-cat eye look seen here on Rachel.

An even easier way to get this look is to use the cat eye Stencil from the Get in Line Eyeliner Kit (both shadows included) placing it higher on the eyelid will give you a thick and smoky cat eye with a strong point on the outer eye like Rachel’s. Soften the edges with your eyeshadow brush and finish with an icy shadow near the inner corner of the eye that extends to the iris and sweep the color on the lower lashline too. Try Abyssinia, a delicate pearl sheen shadow from NARS.

For added eye popping appeal use a black gel eyeliner to line along the lashline. Apply to the outer eye area and blend into the center of eyes rather than lining the entire eye. Repeat the same on the bottom. Try Onyx Stay Put gel Eyeliner, $18 at bethbenderbeauty.com

You’ve got sexy smoky cat eyes baby!

Beth Bender's Celeb Looks - The SAG Awards

BEAUTY WATCH – THE SAG AWARDS

These Hollywood celebs looked beautiful and who can blame them with the Golden Globes being cancelled. They needed a reason to get gorgeous and gorgeous they were! Some of my favorites were Angelina Jolie, Andrea Bowen from Desperate Housewives and Marion Cotillard from La Vie En Rose. Make up artists and hair stylists worked overtime to get these ladies to the red carpet on time.

Andrea Bowen looked beautiful with her hair swept up and away from her face. Her make up was flawless and her perfectly groomed brows and sultry smoky eyes took front and center.

To get Andrea’s look start with the eyes first. Andrea went for a more dramatic smoky eye using colors in brown and amber shimmers. Her eyes were lined top and bottom with a black gel eyeliner and set with a bit of shadow for a softer look.

Start by applying color to the entire eyelid area with an eyeshadow brush and blending into the crease as seen here. If you have a Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil Kit you can use the smoky eye template to create the shape before blending into the crease of eye. Don’t worry about concealer until the eyes are finished. I like to mix both colors before applying to the eye. Try Brown Sugar and Ambra Eye Dust, $16 at bettesboutique.com.

To finish the smoky eyes, with an eyeshadow brush apply a lighter shade to the brow bone making sure to blend color well. A great base color for this is Bobbi Brown’s Champagne Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow, $19 at Bobbi Brown.

Next take your black gel eyeliner and with a tapered or straight edge eyeliner brush carefully tap into the lash line as you line the eye. Extend the line out as seen here on Andrea and finish by lining underneath so that both bottom and top liner meet at the outer eye. As you get closer to the center of eye start to make the line thinner and blend into lash line.

Take a bit of Ambra eye dust with an eyeshadow brush and sweep under the eye to soften the line and give it a more dramatic look. Our new favorite mascara is Fiberwig but a good black mascara will do just fine. Add two coats and make sure to coat each lash for maximum lash appeal.

Clean up any mess underneath the eyes with a bit of eye cream and a Q-tip. Then apply concealer. For a flawless face add a bit of tinted moisturizer or a water based foundation. Use a sponge for more coverage and a brush for a more sheer finish. Try Vincent Longo’s Light Canvas Tinted Moisturizer, $38 or his Liquid Canvas Dew Finish Foundation, $48.50 both fabulous and available at vincentlongo.com.

On the cheeks a little cream blush in either a pink or peach tone adds just the right amount of color without over doing it. Try Kitty or Blushing Bride, $18 and both from bethbenderbeauty.com.

Stick to a light shade on the lips as well. Try Afterglow Lip Enhancing Gloss, $18 from Smashbox Cosmetics. It’s the perfect combination of a pink/peach gloss and has great shine.

Now go get your celeb look on ladies! Stay tuned for more SAG Award Celeb looks.

Jenny McCarthy Loves The Get in Line Kit

Jenny McCarthy is in the house

Jenny McCarthy is the latest celebrity to give the Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil kit the thumbs up. Jenny is working on a new project that one of my dear friends was called to work on last week in Los Angeles. It’s very hush hush but I hear that it’s fantastic and that Jenny was an absolute doll throughout the day.

When shooting was over he stopped by her dressing room and handed her a Get in Line kit. She was so touched and very excited to try the stencils having read about them recently in the Pasadena Star News. She’s a big fan of the cat eye and before he left she had already done a perfect set.

Now that’s what I call a real pro!

Rock on Jenny!!

Let's Create Soft Smoky Eyes

Blake Lively from Gossip Girl has been getting quite a lot of attention lately. Seen here looking very glamourous and giving us a new and softer twist on the oh so famous smoky eye. To get this look Beth suggests starting with the eyes first and then finishing with foundation and lips.

Start by using two eye shadows together and then applying to the eye. Beth suggests a soft lavender and medium purple. Sweep the color over the eye lid using an eyeshadow brush. Try Love candy and Goddess Eye Dust both from beth bender beauty. Create the perfect smoky eye using the Get in Line smoky eye kit. Once you have the perfect shape make sure to blend well and extend the color slightly above the crease as seen here on Blake.

Use your bottom eyeliner stencil to line underneath each eye and soften the line with the fuller end of brush. For a sultry look finish by lining as close to the lash line top and bottom with a plum eyeliner pencil. Try 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in 1999 from Urban Decay. Finish with two coats of mascara. Try Fiberwig mascara available at Sephora and sephora online.

Once you have the eyes done move to the face. Apply a sheer foundation using a sponge for medium to full coverage and a brush for lighter coverage. Beth suggests either a tinted moisturizer or a light weight foundation depending on your preference. Try Light Canvas Healthy Fluid Foundation from Vincent Longo.

Apply just a touch of blush to the apple of cheeks using a fluffy blush brush, making sure not to over do it. Try Baby Powder Blush from beth bender beauty. A soft pink lip color applied with a lip brush. If you line your lips make sure to do first before applying lip color. Try Mitzi Lip Color from Nars.

Give Me Smoky Eyes Like Lindsay Lohan

lindsay-lohan-eyes.jpg

We are well into the new year and smoky eyes are still ruling the red carpet. The color palettes are softer but the smoky eye is still hot. Lindsay Lohan is a big fan of the smoky eye and her green eyes look even greener in this photo.

Want to get sexy smoky eyes like Lindsay? Try using a dark grey shadow mixed with a touch of charcoal shimmer shadow. Line underneath with the charcoal shimmer and finish by lining the inside rim with a black pencil. Adding a few individual lash clusters to the ends of each eye as seen here on Lindsay will make the eyes pop even more.

For perfect smoky eyes every time use the Get in Line Stencil Kit from beth bender beauty and check out the list of celebs already using the kit. Try Slate eye shadow from Bobbi Brown and Bellatrix Eye Dust from beth bender beauty to create the look.

Keep Your Eyeliner Smudge Free

How can I stop my eyeliner from smearing under my bottom eyelashes? Nothing seems to work!

rachel-bilson-eyeliner.jpg

The secret to perfect looking eyeliner that stays put is layering. Rachel Bilson has mastered the art of perfect eyeliner using her Get in Line Kit and her favorite black eyeliner from Prescriptives. Black eyeliner in particular always has an annoying habit of streaking down one’s cheeks at inappropriate moments, which is why you need to take the extra step to make sure it doesn’t move all day.

Beth says the trick is to apply your eye pencil as you normally would, then use an eye lining brush to go over the line with the exact same color of eye shadow. Blend it in well. The powdery formulation of the shadow locks the color in place and keeps it from going anywhere. For perfect eyeliner like Rachel’s beth suggests trying the Get in Line eyeliner and eyeshadow kit. The stencils allow you to create perfect eyeliner and include a beautiful charcoal and Indian brown eyeshadow.

Don’t forget that if you’re using an eye cream or cream concealers to make sure and powder under the eye using either a powder puff or brush.

Soft Smoky Eyes For Day or Night

kate-hudson-pastel-eyes.jpg

Get the Look….smoky eyes done in soft pastels as seen here on Kate Hudson look gorgeous day and night. To get the look apply a sheer wash of a pale, light catching hue around the lashline, sweep what’s left on the brush over the eyelids. Try Goddess Eye Dust from beth bender beauty.

Beth’s beauty tip: Curl your lashes and add a touch of brown mascara to the tips to keep the look soft and delicate. Use your Get in Line Eyeliner Kit to get perfectly shaped smoky eyes and use the fuller end of brush to soften the line as seen here on Kate.

Lash Flash For Gorgeous Lashes and Eyes

kelly-ripa-false-lashes.jpg

Want a gorgeous gaze like Kelly Ripa? Try adding a few lash clusters to the ends of each upper lashline. You’ll build sexy volume only where you need it and they are so easy to use.

To do Beth suggests adding a dot of glue to the back of one hand and then dabbing the knot of lash into the glue. Slip the lash into the lashline without touching the eyelid and wait at least 30 seconds before applying the next cluster.

Once all of the lashes have been applied wait for a few minutes until the glue is dry and go over lashes with one or two coats of mascara.

For sultry sexy cat eyes as seen here on Kelly, start by using your Get in Line Eyeliner Stencil System to create perfect cat eyes and then finish with the lashes.

Quick Beauty Tips For Hollywood Eyes

penelope-cruz-sexy-eyes.jpg

Combining turquoise and jet black eye shadows sounds strange but the result is gorgeous and gives the eyes a way more powerful punch as seen here on Penelope Cruz. Blue shadow can be a bit intimidating to wear alone because of its boldness, and black is certainly severe, but mixing the two colors creates a deep colorful glow.

To do Beth suggests lining the top lash line with a gel liner so the color stays put and then retracing with a bright blue powder. Try Onyx Gel Liner and Betty Blu Eye Dust both from beth bender beauty to create this look as seen here on Penelope Cruz.

betty-blu-shadow.jpg Carrie Underwood loves Betty Blu Eye Dust, $16 at beth bender beauty

Beth’s beauty trick: For “knock out eyes”, add another hint of tint by dabbing a touch of blue mascara on the tips of your top lashes.

Honeyshed and Beth Bender Beauty

The Get in Line Kit will be featured on Honeyshed twice in January. The first interactive shopping website which launched in October has been showcasing fabulous beauty products, clothing, accessories, footwear and the hottest new DVD releases.

They have a cast of young men and women who seem to be having a lot of fun while they talk about the brands and in some cases doing demo’s to show how a product works.

Although the site is still new and has been working out a few kinks, it has already received a tremendous amount of press and looks to be a huge success. Don’t forget to check out the Get in Line Eyeliner Stencil Kit at Honeyshed in January and while you’re there take a peek at their very cute and not too expensive handbags.

Celebrity Holiday Looks

Scarlett’s Sexy Holiday Look

scarletts-holiday-look.jpg

This is such a beautiful look anytime. Scarlett’s skin is glowing and her metallic silver shadow is the perfect shade to compliment her soft peach cheeks and sheer but very shiny lips.

Make-up artist Beth Bender suggests adding a few lashes to the ends of each eye for even more dazzle as seen here on Scarlett.

To get this look start by applying a silver shadow directly onto the eyelid. Try Double-o-Silver, $16 at bettesboutique.com. It goes on easy and looks even more amazing when you dampen your brush first before applying. You can leave the brow bone alone or add a touch of light base shadow to highlight.

To get perfect eyeliner use your top liner stencil and hold in place while brushing your eye shadow along the line. Use a dark charcoal shadow and dampen the brush first for a darker line. Remove top eyeliner stencil and repeat on the other eye.

If you prefer you can use a Gel Liner instead of a powder to line the eyes as seen here. Try Onyx, $18 at BethBender Beauty.com. To finish the eyes add a few lash clusters to the ends of each eye. When the glue has dried, usually in a minute or two, curl your lashes and apply two coats of black mascara. Try Here to Stay, $19.50 at prescriptives.com.

On the cheeks use a light peach blush and apply to the apple of cheeks blending up along cheek bones and into hairline. Try Orgasm Powder Blush from Nars. If you prefer a cream instead of powder, try Scarlett’s new fav, Kitty Cream Blush, $18 at Beth Bender Beauty.

Keep the lips shiny and sheer with just a bit of color. Try Petal Lip Glace, $20 from Laura Mercier. If you need a little shimmer try Chasing the Cash Liquid Lip color, a favorite of Scarlett’s and Jessica Alba, $16 at Beth Bender Beauty.
