Backstage Beauty-Fashion week in Paris

Ooh la la is all I can say about the make-up that some of my favorite artists created for the shows in Paris. Beautiful beautiful skin that looked sheer and light with just a bit of sheen. Gorgeous cheeks with just a hint of color and lots of red lips!

Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Ralph Lauren each did their own version of the sexy Cat Eye. Some would say made famous by Audrey Hepurn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s, others by Bridget Bardot, and Sophia Loren. Whoever came first really doesn’t matter because they all looked fabulous! And at the shows, so did the models who walked the “Catwalk” with their “Cat-eyes”.

Many women struggle with trying to achieve the perfect Cat eye and Smoky eye. They get frustrated at how messy it can be and lose interest. A lot of Beauty magazines often give step by step instructions but they require too many tools and most women don’t have time. When I created my stencil system I really spent a lot of time making sure that the Cat eye template was just right. From the size, to the point, and the ease.

Let’s face it, when you pick up an Allure or a Marie Claire, or even an US Weekly, which lately has become more about fashion and beauty then gossip you are drawn, or at least a lot of us are to the beauty trends and how to do your own version of them.

Make-up should be fun and not intimidating and that’s the feeling I got from all of the amazing looks that were shown in Paris. It inspired me to take a little better care of my skin, drink more water and wear lots of sunscreen. Maybe even wear a red lip!

xoxo,

Beth
