Tonight Hollywood Sizzles

Red Carpet Beauty

Count Down To Tonight’s Oscars

It’s only a few hours before some of Hollywood’s most famous faces will take center stage at this years Academy Awards. Most of them are already sitting in someones make up chair or having their hair done for the big night. Getting set to walk the red carpet and be camera ready, which let’s face it is the most fun and tomorrow every Beauty Blog site, magazine, and television will be talking about how they looked and how to get their look.

To get everyone in the mood for tonight’s Oscars we though we would share with you some of our most favorite beauty styles. Starting with Katie Holmes who looks so beautiful in this picture. Her make up is fresh and soft letting her own natural beauty come through.

Eyes: Get Katie’s look starting with the eyes first. Using a Cocoa brown liner. We suggest a Gel Eyeliner that doesn’t smudge. Try Cocoa, $18 at beth bender beauty. Using a tapered eyeliner brush carefully apply the eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible. Top and bottom as seen here on Katie. To add a little more pop to the eye apply a shimmer eyeshadow over the eyeliner and blend into the gel liner adding some color to the eyelid as well, try Ambra Eye Dust. Finish with two coats of black mascara, our new fav is Fiberwig, $22 and only at Sephora. If you’re feeling a little feline add a few individual lash clusters to the ends of each eye and give your lashes an extra coat of mascara.

Face: Use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation for skin that looks beautiful and sun-kissed. We just love Vincent Longo’s New Light Canvas Tinted Moisturizer, $38 at Vincentlongo.com. Use a brush for a more sheer application as seen here on Katie, or a sponge for medium to full coverage.

Cheeks: A soft cream or powder blush in pink depending on your preference and skin type. Try A little Crush Powder Blush, $26 at beth bender beauty. If your skin tends to get a bit more shiny go with a powder. With a blush brush start by swirling the color on the apple of your cheeks and blending along cheek bones. Use your fingers with a cream blush and start at the apple of cheeks making sure to blend color along cheek bone. Try Laura Mercier’s Cream Cheek Color in Oleander, $22 at Lauramercier.com

Lips: Finish with a lip color in a rosy-mauve or Berry as seen here on Katie. We like Dry Rose Lip Cream Color , $22 at Laura Mercier. For lips that are red carpet ready with sizzle apply a layer of Rosy-Mauve shimmer gloss. Try custom blended lip gloss in Sweet Thing High Shine Gloss, $16 at beth bender beauty.

Now you’re red carpet ready baby!
