Cat Eyes With A Twist

Winged Eye Shadow Ala Selma Blair

GET THE LOOK: This is a very different look for Selma Blair who usually goes for softer more subtle eyes, but she was rocking out in shimmery shades of purple earlier this week. Instead of the usual smoky eyes in gray she decided on softer feminine shades in purples and lavenders. A smoky cat eye created by flaring out a triangle at the outer corners of the eyes.

INSIDER TRICK: To
get perfectly pointed cat eyes like Selma and do them with ease, Bender suggests using her cat eye liner stencil and eyeshadow kit in TDF or OMG! To flatter wide-set eyes, apply more pigment on the inner corners of your eye lids and sweep color up towards your brows. If your eyes are close-set keep the focus on the outer corners.

Sexy Cat Eyes On The Red Carpet

Feline Beauty Gets a Thumbs up

The always stunning Anne Hathaway created quite a feline frenzy in Hollywood. She transformed her round brown eyes into exotic lookers by doing a sexy cat eye liner that was oh so purrfect. I’m pretty sure there was definitely a make up artist on hand to create these gorgeous eyes.

To get the look without the help of a make up artist may we suggest the Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil Kit. The Cat eye stencil will give you the sexiest cat eyes just like Ms. Hathaways.

INSIDER TRICK: If you get a smudge, no need to start all over. Some thing I learned from all of my years backstage at fashion week. Dip a Q-tip in moisturizer and gently roll it across the goofed area to pick up the formula. Works like a charm.

More Sexy Cat Eyes Please

Give us your best cats Beyonce and let’s not forget Rhianna too. Both looking very hot. These thick dramatic cat eyes seen here on both ladies is one of our favorite looks. Just in case you weren’t paying attention because we can’t seem to get off the subject of cat eyes, and it seems as if we are not alone.

We just give our readers what they want and according to our lovely new intern Melissa, they want cat eyes. Doesn’t matter how thick or thin and what color they might be in. Just give them cat eyes and keep them coming. If you’re new to our beauty blog and to beth bender beauty then let us first tell you that you can create these very sexy cat eyes using the cat eye stencil and the Get in Line Stencil Kit. The cat eye stencil fits over your eye (fits any eye shape, even Asian) and all you have to do is sweep the color with the brush over the eye and in seconds you’ll be sporting a cat eye. To make it thick like Beyonce and Rhianna just hold the stencil higher above the eyelid and fill in with color.

That’s how easy it is to get a sexy cat eye and best of all you won’t need a dozen tools to get them.

Red Carpet Beauty Oscar Finale

Red Carpet Beauty – The Oscars 2008

Penelope Cruz does sexy cat eyes

We are so late in getting the rest of our favorite red carpet beauties up on our blog but here they are. We hope you enjoy!

We just adore Penelope Cruz. She has great style and you can always count on her to be sporting gorgeous eyes, smoky eye or cat eye, she loves them both. At the Oscars she didn’t disappoint, her make up looked fresh and her skin was radiant. The focus was on her eyes which were tightly lined using a black gel eyeliner and then set using a Violet eyeshadow and pale lavender shadow to highlight the eyelids.

To get Penelope’s sexy eyes start with a rich black gel liner, try Onyx from beth bender and using a tapered brush apply along the lashline making sure to extend the line beyond the lashes and increasing the thickness of liner as you get closer to the outer eye.

Repeat the same underneath the lower lashline starting with a thicker line at the outer eye and tapering the line as you get closer to the inner eye. If you prefer not to line the entire eye as Penelope has done, you can blend the liner and stop slightly beyond the center of eye on the top and bottom.

Once you have finished applying the gel liner, using an eyeshadow brush take your Violet eyeshadow, Try Lilly Eyedust and sweep lightly over the liner and blend onto eyelid as seen here on Penelope. Take the same color and sweep under the eye as well. This will soften the liner and give the eyes a very sultry look. For eye popping peeper’s take a pale lavender shimmer, try Twinkle Twinkle and apply to the inner corner of eyes and blend into crease.

Finish with two coats of rich black mascara focusing on the outer lashes and make sure to hit the bottom lashes too. Try Lashblast Mascara in Black from CoverGirl available at most drugstores, Target, CVS and Walmart.
Perfect eyes deserve perfect brows so make sure yours are groomed and red carpet ready. If you need some help with your brows check out Anastasia’s Eyebrow stencils for creating perfect brows. She is the Hollywood Brow expert and her list of celebs is endless. Her stencils are the best and so easy to use.
