Let's Create Soft Smoky Eyes

Blake Lively from Gossip Girl has been getting quite a lot of attention lately. Seen here looking very glamourous and giving us a new and softer twist on the oh so famous smoky eye. To get this look Beth suggests starting with the eyes first and then finishing with foundation and lips.

Start by using two eye shadows together and then applying to the eye. Beth suggests a soft lavender and medium purple. Sweep the color over the eye lid using an eyeshadow brush. Try Love candy and Goddess Eye Dust both from beth bender beauty. Create the perfect smoky eye using the Get in Line smoky eye kit. Once you have the perfect shape make sure to blend well and extend the color slightly above the crease as seen here on Blake.

Use your bottom eyeliner stencil to line underneath each eye and soften the line with the fuller end of brush. For a sultry look finish by lining as close to the lash line top and bottom with a plum eyeliner pencil. Try 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in 1999 from Urban Decay. Finish with two coats of mascara. Try Fiberwig mascara available at Sephora and sephora online.

Once you have the eyes done move to the face. Apply a sheer foundation using a sponge for medium to full coverage and a brush for lighter coverage. Beth suggests either a tinted moisturizer or a light weight foundation depending on your preference. Try Light Canvas Healthy Fluid Foundation from Vincent Longo.

Apply just a touch of blush to the apple of cheeks using a fluffy blush brush, making sure not to over do it. Try Baby Powder Blush from beth bender beauty. A soft pink lip color applied with a lip brush. If you line your lips make sure to do first before applying lip color. Try Mitzi Lip Color from Nars.
